The following describes the responsibilities of the standing
committees of the Sales & Marketing Council.
Each committee shall have a Chair, and may have a Vice Chair and Secretary. The officers and members of each committee
shall serve for terms of one year, with no limit on eligibility for successive terms.
Minutes of each committee meeting shall be submitted to the Board of the SMC.
 Membership Recruitment/Retention//
SMC Marketing/Technology
Create programs for recruitment of new SMC members
from BIA member companies. Refine membership benefits to increase value to SMC members. Also oversees continued
development and content of the web site, to make sure it meets the SMC mission.
Sponsorship – SMC & SAM Awards
Approach BIA members for sponsorship of SMC
and its programs along with soliciting sponsors for the SAM Awards held each May sponsorship benefits.
SMC Programs and Education
Coordinate 2008 SMC calendar, including networking
events, educational seminars and courses, quarterly meetings and budgets.
SAM Awards
Coordinates and facilitates the 2009 SAM Awards.
Term begins June 2008.
